MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
M. Barlow called the meeting to order at 11:40 a.m.
ROLL CALL
P. Jessee read the roll call. M. Barlow asked for a motion to excuse the absences.
M. Wiseman made the motion and B. Jones seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
M. Barlow called for approval of the agenda as presented. R. Bradley moved to
approve the agenda as presented with R. Taylor seconding the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
BOARD CHAIR COMMENTS
M. Barlow thanked everyone for going to the City of Dayton Commission meeting in
support of DATV. She said all board members would be advised of any changes or
notices as they happened in regards to the negotiations with the City and TotaLink.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
M. Barlow asked for approval of the August 12, 2000, board meeting minutes.
Motion to approved the minutes as presented was made by R. Bradley and seconded
by A. Sheaffer. Motion passed unanimously.
OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER'S REPORT
M. Barlow asked for approval of the treasurer’s report as presented with B. Jones
making the motion and A. Sheaffer seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Executive Committee - None.
Personnel Committee - None.
Development Committee Report - None.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT
J. Rocco reported that the program with Dayton Art Institute had been cancelled because of low enrollment. However, Carroll High School has begun a program with DATV.
J. Rocco thanked the board members for going to the City of Dayton Commission meeting in support of DATV. He then proceeded to report on the negotiations with the City of Dayton and TotaLink. After some discussion he said that at the following Wednesday morning meeting of the Commissioners that S. Ross would be representing DATV and asked that any board members who could attend this meeting, please do so.
J. Rocco told the Board that DATV won the award for the Central States Alliance best access station and that six other awards were won by DATV’s volunteer producers. Also, D. Suffoletto won the national logo contest and this logo will be on all correspondence originating from the national alliance headquarters during 2001.
CITY OF DAYTON CABLE ADMINISTRATIVE (David Snow)
D. Snow stated that he has come in late in the process in regards to TotaLink and it has been a learning experience. He continued that the City did want to get TotaLink in as soon as possible.
TIME WARNER REPRESENTATIVE (Kelly Kuhlman)
K. Kuhlman spoke about where Time Warner, TotaLink and the City was in relation to TotaLink coming into the City. She said Time Warner did not play a role in the relationship between the City and DATV.
K. Kuhlman commented that Time Warner’s upgrading was ongoing and proceeding very well. She said anyone interested in the Roadrunner could go to www.roadrunnerohio.com or go to the Time Warner’s web site to see what was new.

NEW BUSINESS
M. Barlow asked that the Retreat be placed on the December agenda and asked for suggestions as to where, when, and time.
She also reminded the Board that at the December meeting elections would be held for the board members whose terms were up and for the Open seat. The deadline for resumes to be received from those who are interested in the Open seat will be November 10.
ADJOURNMENT
M. Barlow adjourned the meeting at 12:40 p.m.
The next board meeting will be held on Monday, December 11, 2000, at 11:30 AM.
