Ross has previously served as Operations Manager for the past 19 years.
“We are thrilled and excited that Steve will continue his outstanding service to DATV,” said Gabrielle Williamson, DATV Board Chair. “For the past 19 years Steve has played an integral role in the development and operations of DATV.”
Ross will be the 5th Executive Director in the thirty year history of DATV. He was originally hired by DATV’s founder and first Executive Director Roxie Cole.
“Roxie taught me what a tremendous impact that Public Access television can have in the community,” said Ross. “Her love and passion for DATV still lives on in the hearts of our nearly 500 members.”
DATV is a community forum that empowers all citizens to learn, create and express their ideas through electronic media.
In his role as Operations Manager, Ross has managed numerous aspects of DATV’s daily operations.
In 1992 he served on the Building Committee that managed DATV’s move in to its new, state of the art, 10,000 sq. ft. Public Access Center. In 1998 he facility the creation of DATV’s second channel Dayton Spiritual Television. He has also recently implemented DATV’s tapeless program playback system.
According to Ross, “Recent and continuing advances in technology make public access television accessible to more and more people every day. DATV will continue to leverage these advancements to help Dayton area residents tell their stories to the public.”
Before coming to DATV Ross worked at WKEF-TV in Dayton where he was a Director of their nightly newscast and local commercial production. |
