Community events
Are you looking to play an active role in your community? Why not use your developing video production skills to provide viewers a look at one of the many great events happening in and around the area.
What Type of video can I make? With prior approval of the event organizer, there are numerous ways that you as a DATV video producer can provide coverage of an event. Here are a few examples, but the only limit is your imagination.
Performance Recording: You may record the complete performance of a band, singer, presenter or other visual artist. Highlight Video: You may record highlights of various aspects of an event and then edit short clips together to create an overview of event. Interviews: You can interview event organizers and participants to highlight their role in the event. Event Preview: Talk with organizers and have them explain what their nonprofit event is about and how people can attend. How do i get started?Contact Volunteer Coordinator Dale Grow for listings of upcoming events and for advice on how to contact the organizers to get permission for your video shoot. He can also provide you a list of "best practices" with regards to; location scouting, event day setup, equipment choices, editing tips and more.
